Rodeo.house hunting and warmer weather

In April the NDRF comes to Pokey. We never have gone and this year we decided it would be fun to take the boys. We went and the boys loved it. Lincoln especially loved the buckin' broncos and still remembers it and often pretends he is on a buckin' bronco.

April also meant it was time to go find a place to live when we move to CO. Brandon and I went alone, and left our boys with Gramma and Pop Watts. We are so thankful them and Darren's family for keeping them safe while we were gone. I know they enjoyed themselves there and got lots of attention and play time. They love any chance they get to see any of their grandparents and cousins.

Even though Alamosa, CO isn't some magical, romantic place, it was nice to just be the 2 of us for a couple of days. With school and babies, we haven't really had much 'us' time for the last few years! We slept in until we woke up, watched a couple of movies, went shopping, and just enjoyed being together.

Our choices for housing was very limited (we looked at all the rentals that would work for us...4 total). Three of the houses were in terrible condition and we were feeling pretty discouraged about finding somewhere that would be good for our family. Our fourth and last appointment to see a house was just before we had to leave town. It miraculously worked out great. It's on a quiet neighborhood, near a park, has 3 bedrooms 2 bath and an office, a large family room, and a good sized fenced back yard. (that is all Lincoln requested in a new house...a backyard!) It isn't anything really fancy, but for a rental, it has been kept up for the most part. And for now, we think it will be pretty much perfect for our little family. It's crazy and exciting that this is all starting to happen, that we are moving on to the next chapter! The area we are moving to is beautiful and we are excited.

When we got back the weather warmed up for a few days. The warm weather never lasts long in Pokey! But we enjoyed the couple of days we got. The boys were so excited to put on shorts and eat ice cream!

Just before the Rodeo we ran into Lincoln's friend Ariah.
These little cowboys were so excited to see each other and be going to the Rodeo.
