- his incredible joy of life
- the big squeezes and kisses he so freely gives to Mommy, Daddy, and little Gu'gs
- his problem solving mind
- the way he catches on to any kind of sport
- that he is such a good big brother and loves Grant so much
- he is such a big helper to Mommy and Daddy
- his happy, happy smile and fun laugh
- his concern for other people if he thinks they are hurt
- that he knows how to share and take turns with other kids, and plays so good
- he is so smart and remembers everything, and picks up on new things so good
- he loves to sing...and sings on key...at the top of his lungs and in public! :)
This list could go on and on...but we love our little Lincoln and are so thankful he was born to us. He is our little blessing!
We had such a fun time celebrating Lincoln's birthday! Since his actual birthday was on Sunday, we celebrated during the weekend. We went to Utah and gave him a day of surprises! Our first stop and surprise was taking him to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. He was so surprised and more excited than I could have imagined. He loved walking (actually running) around and looking at all the "huge" airplanes.
After an hour or so of exploring all the airplanes, we got him a little one to take home and within minutes of being in the car, our little birthday boy was out...but still with his airplane in hand, so cute!
Our next surprise and stop was Gramma and Pop Watts' house. Since Lincoln is so aware of his surroundings, he figured out this surprise before we got there, but still he was happy and surprised to go. Gramma and Pop treated him to a fun pizza and movie night, and then a birthday lunch and cake the next day with cousins! Lincoln couldn't have been happier! (Thanks Gramma and Pop Watts!)
This is what happens when a cake is left in front of a 3 yr old and a 2.5 yr old! :)
One other fun idea Gramma had for Lincoln was to go to a Hot Air Balloon festival. We got up and hurried out the door first thing in the morning...but the weather wasn't right for the balloons, however the fire department was there for the festival and let all the kids explore the firetruck. Lincoln was thrilled!
On Lincoln's actual birthday we were at home again and celebrated together with our little family. After church and naps, we had Lincoln's requested birthday dinner, homemade pizza and then birthday cupcakes.
After dinner and cupcakes, we told Lincoln we were going to play in his room and read stories. We all went upstairs and there Lincoln found his bike! He was so excited and said, "A bike! I have my very own bike!"
I LOVE this sweet little guy and everyday I am so thankful that he is my sweet, sweet baby, my fun little boy! How lucky I am that three years ago he gave me the name Mommy.
