Batter Up!

Just like with every other sport Lincoln has seen or we've introduced him to, he LOVES t-ball! He had been making up his own game in his room with a play pan being the bat, a little ball being the baseball, and a variety of toys being the bases. So we got him this little T, bat and ball set so he could try it for real. He was more than ready to set it up and give it a try. He grabbed the box and said, "Daddy. Mommy no, inside." Translated: Daddy is going to help me, Mommy stay inside! I admit I was a little surprised, but I snuck out and took a couple of pictures of our little all-star! Brandon showed him how to do it once and then of course Lincoln said, "Self!" He hit the ball like a t-ball pro!

Springtime fun!

Finally! We have been enjoying some springtime weather! It's so nice to be able to go outside and play for a while and go for a walk. We have been spending some quality time outside for the last several weeks. A favorite thing of Lincoln's from last year is playing in the sand/water box (he LOVES anything that has to do with water). He still loves it and Grant loves it too...only the water side though, he likes to eat the sand!

A couple of weeks ago Brandon finished his 2nd year of his doctorate program! :) We are so excited to keep moving forward and be ever closer to an end. It is quite strange though to think that this time next year our scholastic endeavors will be done and we will be moving to who knows where! We are very proud of Brandon/Daddy for doing so well. This year was difficult for all of us with Brandon's work load being to the max, adjusting our family with a new baby, being in the Bishopric half the year, working and doing an internship, taking his comps, oh and moving TWICE! There have been many days (and nights) that we have missed being together, but we are grateful for the little moments we do have as a family, for the success that Brandon is having, and what this will mean for our future. We are also grateful and aware that our Heavenly Father has sustained us in every aspect throughout this time. 

The weekend after the semester ended, we took some family time and celebrated with a little road trip to UT. We had fun playing in the hotel pool, having a yummy dinner, and even a little shopping! Mostly, we were able to have a fun time together with our little family.

We were also able to spend Saturday afternoon with Shan's family (everyone except Greg was able to be there) for a fun Mother's Day celebration!

Lincoln has no fear in the water. He jumped right in and tried to swim under water a couple of times! He did good holding his breath. Looks like this little fish will need swim lessons soon!

These are all the Watts cousins...there are 11 total with the youngest 8 (age 10 mo. - 8 yrs) being BOYS! When we are able to all get together, it's fun, loud, and very active. We attempted to get a picture of the cousins...obviously, not an easy task!

And This Little Guy Too!

Oh how I love this little guy! Lincoln never ceases to keep me on my toes but regardless, he is such a sweet boy and is so much fun...I love being his Mom! I wanted to write about a few of the funny/cute things he's been doing...last week he was so excited to go see the "goats." There is a little petting zoo here that we go to every now and then which has goats. All throughout last week he was saying "Goats, long time." (Meaning, it's been a long time since we've seen the goats.) I told him maybe we could go Friday with Daddy. Friday came and I told him during breakfast we were going. His big eyes got bigger and he simply said "Dessed!" I've never seen him run upstairs so fast and get dressed, brush his teeth, and comb his hair... all by himself! I love how excited he gets for just about anything! 

I had a fun laugh with him the other day...We were driving somewhere the other day and Lincoln started repeating and saying very insistantly, "E-I-E-I-O" I started singing Old McDonald, and he said "No" then began again, "E-I-E-I-O." All of a sudden I realized he was asking if we could go to McDonald's! He's always had quite the way of communicating and getting his point across, and this was no exception. 

He has also started asking, "This call-ed?" for ANYTHING that he doesn't know what it is or what it's for...does that mean the next question is "Why?!" 

This was the Friday we went to see the "goats!" Such an excited, happy, cute boy!

Lincoln loves Grant! He is so protective of him and watches out for him. He also loves to "tackle," tease, and tickle his little brother. But he also likes to play with him and watch movies with him...even when Grant wants to lay on Lincoln. I love when Lincoln is trying to tell Grant something that we are getting ready to do or something that is happening. He will kneel down by him and say something like, "Googie...outside...fun!"
