A couple of weeks ago we headed a bit north to Bear World. We hadn't been before and had heard it was a fun place especially for kids. On our way up, Brandon suggested that after Bear World we should continue to drive up to Jackson to stay the night and then drive up to The Tetons. We were already at least 20 miles from home and had only planned on a little day trip to Bear World. All that was in the car was some snacks, a few diapers, and the boys' blankies. It was completely unplanned and spontaneous, but we decided why not!
So we had a great afternoon in Bear World. There were bears to see (including cute little baby bears), rides to ride, and other animals to see up close and pet! The boys loved it (well, Grant wasn't so sure about the rides but he still had a fun time otherwise)! Then afterwards, the boys soon fell asleep in the car and we drove to Jackson. It was such a pretty drive. It will be sad to not live around this beautiful area much longer, but I'm sure we will find plenty of other great places to explore.
It was a crazy idea, and a crazy weekend, but so much fun! And we even learned that we don't need to pack a ton even though we have little ones, we just need a few essentials...like diapers and blankies! :)

Oh, that looks beautiful and so much fun! You guys really do spontaneous good. I bet Lincoln will remember that trip for a long time. I heard that Bear World was lots of fun. Well, I'm sure you'll find lots to explore around Alamosa!
