We love summer! This post may seem a bit late, but technically, today is the last day of summer! This year, we decided to try out fishing and had some fun summer days at the fishing pond...but as Lincoln says, "no fish bitin' today." We never caught any fish, :( however, I really think Lincoln had a good time and so did Grant! He was happy to play in the dirt and crawl around the area while Daddy and Lincoln fished! Brandon and I liked the stop for ice cream on the way home! :) We of course had many fun days at parks. I think Lincoln thinks a day isn't complete if it doesn't include the park! :) He loved pushing Grant on the merry-go-round and then jumping on. He also loves to swing on the "big boy" swings now and be pushed so high that he can "touch the sky!" His laugh is so fun when he is on the swing. He does like to be in the little swing with Grant still and thinks it's funny to be in the same swing with him. Grant says "eee" when he sees the park, just like Lincoln used to! And he will now go down the slides by himself (but only on his tummy)! He is quite the little climber on the playground and loves the swing as well. Both of our little boys had plenty of opportunity to find bugs and sticks, and flowers, and dirt, and everything else little boys find when they are exploring...and Lincoln mastered riding his bike he got for his "happy birthday" in just a few short weeks! YAY Lincoln! :) More recently, we've gone on a couple of little hikes. We just put Grant in our little backpack carrier (which he thinks is hilarious) and then Lincoln walks/runs the whole way. I was so happy that he has enjoyed himself and didn't ask to be carried... (sometimes he says he's "heavy" and wants to be carried!) especially when I took the boys by myself! Lincoln is quite the little hiker and even loved the view from the top! We love summer and are holding on to all the warm days we can! :)

I'll just be happy when summer is really over here and we can finally go to the park again!! I don't remember the last time we went to the park- it's still 100 degrees here!!! So much for fall!
